DRAINAGE COFFERDAM

Matsqui Slough Drainage Project, contruction of this pump station was divided into three stages.
|
Each stage required the construction of a sheet pile coffer dam reinforced with structural steel to dewater the area for concrete construction.
Fisheries concerns laid way to the installation of a fish ladder and the construction of a welded pipe fish passageway. A 42 inch diameter discharge line buried under the dyke connected the pumps at the slough to the outfall at the Fraser River.
